Description:
It has several features than make it different than the regular Hepburn. The drop lever is re-designed and longer. It has a bar mounted saddle ring on the left side. It has a light weight tapered 27 inch barrel. Caliber is 45-70. Original sights. Pistol grip stock with a carbine style Remington buttplate. Most all bright blue remains on the barrel. Bright shiny bore. Frame retains about 95% vivid case colors. This a great gun out of the Jack Appel Collection and is pictured in "More Single Shot Rifles" by Grant. It is also illustrated in "Rowe's Remington's No. 3 Hepburn" on page 205. Rowe calls this "An experimental design and the only known one that was ever made". Outstanding gun!
