Description: The spoils of war helped to create the Mas-45 - .22 LR. Training Rifle for the French Army. It started out as the German KKM single shot Mauser German training rifle in 1945. After the fall of Germany, the French took over one of the Mauser factories that had been located in France. The French army needed a training rifle thus the French military requested a new design that would utilize a 5 shot magazine feed. Some of the early models were made in the old factory and later all the tooling was sent to MAS in France for continued production. Known as a tough, strong and extremely accurate rifle. Many owner's are using them for target competition with great success. This rifle is in very good condition. We observed that the butt plate was painted black due to some minor pitting. If you're a collector or a competition shooter this would make a great rifle. Can ship to C&R and / or FFL holders.
