Listing a rifle I've owned for a good number of years , fine shooting Winchester 38/55 rifle with a round 26" barrel.. slowly trying to thin the herd.this old rifle , serial 186162 just missed antique status by a narrow margin , mfg'd in 1900. Bore is great with good rifling . She's pretty much like the pictures will show original , aged gracefully , not been messed with .Hard to find these old gal's in decent shape with out braking the bank. Wood to metal fit is about as original as you will find. I believe the sights were always on her,. I'll need a FFL or if you've a C&R.
