We offer you an “RARE” First Model 1916 Newton Rifle from the Newton Arms Co. Inc. chambered in .256 Newton.
This Newton rifle wears a 24 inch barrel with a very fine bore with no issues. On top it is marked “NEWTON ARMS CO., INC. / 0-0 BUFFALO. N.Y. 0-0 / “BUFFALO. N.Y.”, .256 NEWTON”. The “0-0” markings indicate segmental rifling. The older re-blued finish on the barrel and receive are in good condition. The receiver has been drilled and tapped for the Redfield scope mount as you can see. The stock has been modified but is solid with no cracks or repairs with a L.O.P. of 14 ½” over the added pad. The rifle functions just fine as do the double set triggers. The serial numbers that could be seen are as follows; 3554 on the bottom of the receiver, 3762 on the bolt with 2622 on the trigger guard, grip cap, upper tang and floor plate.
