Description:
This Winchester M-70 Featherweight comes in the very rare caliber .358 Winchester Cal .358 & was mfg abt 1949. The guns bluing is about 98% at the barrel.
The receiver is the parkerized dull black and abt the same. The trigger guard is the dull matt black and also very good (96% and the floorplate is Alumium and abt 95%). The Buttstock has some light handling marks on the right side and a few on the left side as well. The finish is overal very good , The forearm is very nice and w/o any benchrest marks.. It is a medium dark walnut throughout.. The buttstock has an excellent Alumium Horned Buttplate..The wood checkering is excellent bothe at ther forearm and grips.
The action is perfect w/ the bore being bright & shiney and w/a distinct rifling. There is no muzzle wear. The bolt has matching numbers to the friearm. IT also has the factory scope screws w/ sight holes of 2 before and rearward of the chamber and aside the left side of the receiver.
These Win Featherweights in a .358 caliber are to me extremely rare. This should appeal the the very discering Winchester M70 Collector
