Made in 1900, this beautiful 30" game gun is a #3 gun of a trio. The original pair was ordered and then after using them, the original owner decided to add to his arsenal by ordering this gun as an exact duplicate of the original pair. Full provenance is included with the gun outlining the original owner's prominence in Scotland. This gun, made with splinter forend, and straight grip buttstock is a self opener best quality gun with double triggers, auto ejectors and made with English straight grip buttstock that terminates with a checkered butt. The action is beautifully engraved in light rose and scroll as seen in the photos. The gun is housed in a modern canvas and leather case as seen in the photos.
This gun remains in beautiful condition and is ready for another 120 years of solid service. The barrels retain nearly all of an older restored finish. The action retains more than 1/2 of the original case color. The stocks, which appear original are near mint as restored and retain nearly all of their finish. The bores are brilliant and shiny and the mechanics are crisp.
