Here is a 4 digit serial number made early 1874. Colt U.S. Cavalry Revolver , This gun is in good shape has four clicks on hammer , Cylinder is tight , The finish remains a natural dark - brown patina through out . This gun escape the recall of 1893 and 1898 to be made inti Artillery configuration. For unknown reason it escape the recalls . This could have either been because of being lost, Stolen ( Deserter ) or captured by hostile Indaians. It looks like this a gun that has been in Texas from 1874 til today 2021 . Gun was most likely in the 4th Cavalry , But here are a few S.N. that was at Custer last stand 1543 - 2499 - 3256 - 3632 . PLEASE READ JOHN KOPEC LETTER it will be in photos.
