Several thousand of the 47K were converted to Cartridge use. This one is in the origional Cap and Ball version. It has a 4 1/2 inch barrel with the New York address. One of the flutes is stamped with Patent Sept. 10th 1850. The action works smoothly to all 5 cylinders. All visable numbers match. I did not remove the wedge. The walnut grips show normal wear. Shallow pitting on steel parts. The cylinder has several nicks and dings.
