Description:
S&W .357 Magnum (pre-Model 27) fitted with a 6 1/2 inch pinned barrel, patridge front target sight (slightly modified/filed), adjustable rear sight, checkered diamond Walnut service grips with S&W medallions, and is blue finished. This 1955 vintage, all numbers matching (Frame to cylinder, crane, barrel, and grips), .357 Magnum is in very fine original condition, retaining 85-90%+ original blue, with most loss/thinning on the high edges of the frame, cylinder, and barrel muzzle, due to holster wear. There is also minor flaking on the side-plate and frame along with minor spotting/speckles overall. The grips are in good condition with 5 notches on the right grip (?) and a chip on the bottom of the left grip. The bore is bright, with sharp rifling, and the action functions perfectly, with a tight lock-up. Nice example of its type. Sorry, no box or paper-work.
