Not a replica, but an original, The McClellan Cavalry Saddle, designed by George B. McClellan in the mid- 1850’s, was used by the U. S. Army from 1859 until the 1940’s when the last horse cavalry and horse artillery was disbanded. It is still used ceremonially today, which proves that a well-designed product that fills a need will endure and stand the test of time. This saddle has been in recent use and ready to ride today. All leather is completely alive and will give a century of use, with good care. The Seat is a 11 1/2 inches and has an original horse hair cinch.
