#18492, Gaucher 9.3 x 74R Side by Side Double Rifle, 23 1/2" Extractor Shoe Lump barrels with a rib extension third bite, 1/4 rib with 1 fixed standing rear sight, Quick detachable pivot mounts, Kahles 2.5 x 20mm Model Helia S with a fine crosshair, French Nitro Proved, Double triggers, Bolstered frame, A fairly slight Beavertail forend with an Anson frontal release, Open pistol grip stock, European stock style with a Tyrolean style cheekpiece, A very slight monte carlo comb, It has an excellent piece of European/French Walnut in the stock with nice black/brown contrast, Sling swivels, 15 1/16" LOP over a 3/4" pad, 7 lbs. 10 oz. as an open sight rifle and 8 lbs. 12 oz. with the Kahles scope, 35% engraving coverage, The original barrel blue at 98%, The frame finish remains at 98%, The original oil finished stock remains at 94%, The checkering at 99%, The bores are excellent plus.
The Gaucher name goes all the way back to the mid 1800's. The name is still alive today as Bretton-Gaucher as they merged in 2000. The Bretton name is known for the Baby Lightweight shotguns they produce. They are the lightest 12 and 20 gauge over & under shotguns on the market.
