Description:
Nice shooter grade Pre War 70 with perfect mechanics and excellent bore. S/N 44*** with matching scribed bolt made in late 1941. 90% Blue and Varnish. 24" Barrel. The stock has never been cut and there are no cracks.
There is a hole repair showing on the side of receiver from a previous scope mount. The other hole is covered by the current Stith scope mount. This Stith set up was the best of the era, and this one is the scarcer 3/4" package housing a vintage El Paso made Weaver 330 with the sought after tapered post reticle, often used on replica sniper rifles from WW2. The scope is bright and clear with no issues.
Overall, a great and affordable "user" example of the finest sporting rifle ever made.
