The barrel and lock of this pistol have toned to pewter gunmetal showing remnants of old oxidation staining and partially smoothed-over light pitting. Measures about 15" overall. The lock works well, and the breech shows some light foliate embellishments. The pistol is equipped with brass fittings including ramrod thimble with tailpipe, triggerguard with simple foliate extension, dual-strapped heavy buttcap, simple wrist inlay and sideplate. The brass has toned to a mild goldenrod tone showing some overall light dings and handling marks. The walnut stock rates about good showing some overall light dings and handling marks. There are some nice foliate carvings behind the breech and tailpipe along with some geometric wire inlays down the back of the grip and a wire inlay of a scimitar on the right side grip. The stock is shaped with a faux ramrod, the thimble and tailpipe merely decorative, common for a pirate boarding pistol.
