Another great item from Gainesville Pawn! Up for sale is Colt 1917. United States Property Revolver, .45 ACP caliber (uses moon clips). During WW 1 the military was in dire need of hand guns. Colt could produce 1911 pistols fast enough. Colt adapted the 1909 to shoot .45 ACP with moon clips. This became the model 1917. This gun is mostly brown but in excellent mechanical shape. Made in 1919 possible that it saw service in WW 2. All proper proofs exist on the metal. Bore a little dark but good rifling. ( New Service frame )*Please be aware that all items are sold “AS IS”.
