Antique 1873 Winchester that left the factory in 1888. .22 Long RF, 24" round barrel with full magazine, S/N 281629B (mfg. ca 1888) Blued finish, case hardened hammer and lever, smooth walnut stock with crescent buttplate, plain forend. Standard two-line barrel markings, caliber marking 22 LONG on barrel in front of receiver and 22 CAL LONG on bottom of brass lifter. Two-leaf barrel sight, dovetailed front sight with brass bead. Round barrel .22 caliber 1873s are exceptionally rare guns, and only 21 are listed in Jim Gordon's survey of 1873 rifles. This is a wonderful example of this scarce rifle and would be a fantastic addition to your collection.WVery good original condition throughout, rear sight has been replaced. Dust cover is all good and operational as is the mechanicals Of the rifle. Good bore with strong rifling.
