BRITISH WEBLEY R.I.C. PRE NO. 1 (1ST ISSUE) DOUBLE ACTION .450 CF CAL. 4 ½” REVOLVER CIRCA 1870’S WITH SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA DEALER MARKING. All original and matching scarce model of the same type known to have been owned by General George Armstrong Custer and possibly carried by him to the Battle of the Little Big Horn as it has never been found. Very good overall with dark brown patina on metal and good markings. Top strap engraved “LIDDLE & KAEDING /SAN FRANCISCO” well known San Francisco dealers. Grips excellent. Missing the cylinder stop and hand but trigger and hammer function perfectly on both double and single action. Quite scarce and seldom seen for sale. With facsimile of page from the book "Webley Solid Frame Revolvers, Models RIC, MP and No.5" with two similar photgraphed and one of the two with same San Fran. Dealer engraving on top strap.
