Description:
Union Switch and Signal Model 1911A1 existing pistols produced during WWII are rare. Only 55,000 produced. Other manufacturers and volumes are Remington Rand (900,000 produced), Colt (400,000), Ithaca Gun Company (400,000) and Singer (500). 55,000 Union Switch and Signal pistols were delivered serial numbered from 1041405 to 1096404. The last of the USS pistols was shipped on November 27, 1943.
This pistol is in good shape and rates NRA VERY GOOD with original finish on pistol and holster.: In perfect working condition, no appreciable wear on working surfaces, no corrosion or pitting, only minor surface dents or scratches. Barrel bore is also very good with no pitting or corrosion. Grips are very good with no scratches or chips. The last of the pistols was shipped on November 27, 1943. 55,000 Union Switch and Signal pistols were delivered serial numbered from 1041405 to 1096404. Foregrip has been stipled post manufacture. Some freckling on finish.

This 1911 is fully functional and shootable.
Shoulder holster is period for thie pistol and likewise is in very good condition with generally good leather throughout. All stiiching is complete.
