FOX STUDIOS SPRINGFIELD-KRAG U.S. MODEL 1898 .30-40 CAL. INFANTRY RIFLE. Original complete Model 1898 stamped on receiver “FOX SUDIOS” and “FOX” in black letters on forend in front of the trigger guard. Complete and original with exception of rear sight spring and front sight blade. Very good overall with receiver a grey patina and barrel with considerable blue. Refinished matching stock and handguard. Even has a visible cartouche. Excellent working order with very good bore. Modern commercial leather sling. May well have been in “55 DAYS AT PEKING” or “THE WIND AND THE LION”. From the golden days of Hollywood.
