Description:
With a serial #AR226654, and a .58 Cal., 26” round barrel with a very good, lightly oxidized bore. The metal surfaces retain about 99% original polished blue that has some light handling marks and a few specks of light surface oxidation; there is a small ding at the muzzle that does affect the crown.Half way down the bore is a patch of pitting, but the remainder is speckles. The 1863-style lockplate bears the Springfield U.S. martial-style markings. The military-style buttplate retains most of its factory case color. The walnut stock rates excellent and has some light dings and other light handling marks. The original sights remain intact and a black fiberglass ramrod is included. A near excellent example overall. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
