We offer you a “WWII” Star Model B 9mm Semi Automatic Pistol that was one of the last shipped for the Bulgarian Contract manufactured in 1943.
This Model B pistol was refinished sometime in the past before being shipped state side. The refinish is in very fine condition as you can see. The pistol has all matching numbers and an excellent bore with no issues. The grips are very fine with no cracks or chips. Bulgarian contract Star Model B’s were marked as standard commercial pistols that were shipped from Spain to Bulgaria. The last lot of 5,000 pistol that was shipped was serial number lot 235901 to 240900. The serial number on this pistol is 240695 which make it one of the last model B’s shipped. The left side of the frame above the trigger is marked with an “N” with tilde (~), denoting the year 1943 and a Spanish proof house mark. The left front of the trigger guard and the left rear of the slide are marked with flaming bomb proof marks. The left side of the slide is marked “STAR-SA”, “CONTINUADORA DE / B. ECHEVERRIA”, a Star sunburst logo, “EIBAR / ESPANA”, CAL. 9m/m”, with another mark above that we can’t make out. The bottom of the grip frame is marked “B / 240695”. The barrel at the port is marked with “695 with the flaming bomb proof mark”. The right side of the frame on the mainspring housing is marked with a very small font import mark “CDI. SWAN. VT”. The right rear of the slide and the rear of the magazine are marked “695” as shown.
