Attractive game scene and scroll engraved. Manhattaan Arms was a trade name used by both Schoverling, Daly & Gates as well as Von Lengerke & Detmold both of New York City. The Belgian guns imported under this name were Neumann Freres and Dumoulin, both quality makers. This gun appears to be a presentation piece with an carved inset in the wood "Williamsport, Penn, ALS, 1887". Gun is fully functional. Bores have some internal light surface pitting but are very bright overall. Chambers measure 2 5/8". Externally the Belgian Star Damascus pattern is quite vibrant and attractive. Barrels measure 28". Gun is very slightly loose on face. If a rejointing is requested I can undertake this for a nominal fee. Small toe repair - see last photo. Gun has rebounding hammers. Ribs are solid and barrels ring nicely. All serial numbers numbers. Shipping is $50 and can be sent directly as local law allows. Weight of gun is 6 LBS 5 OZ. LOP is 14 1/8". Drop at comb - 1 10/16". Drop at heel - 2 3/4". SOLD Antique: Yes Shotgun Gauge: 16 Gauge |
