Birmingham Small Arms / BSA Royal Featherweight bolt action rifle, 30-06 caliber SN# 70XXXX
RARE model chambered in .30-06, 22 inch barrel with an overall length of 42.5 inches. This BSA Royal Featherweight model has a capacity of 4 rounds of 30-06 cartridges.
Redfield scope with Parker Hale “RANS3” rings mounted and included with rifle.
Gorgeous classic bolt action rifle made in England by Birmingham Small Arms, Crossed flag markings (I/2/B), and crowns very visible and clear.
They were made very light with a cut-out on the left side of the receiver to save weight without loss of integrity. The Featherweights also had a very unique integral muzzle brake system cut into the end of the barrel, and incorporated the large Mauser type claw extractor.
Forward of breach on left side reads, "18 TONS PER [ ] ", also a crown with "BNP" stamped below it and, ".30/06 .2494 , S1 stamped on receiver.
Beautiful original wood, finish in very good condition with slight marks from wear and age, bore is bright and clean, and the action functions smoothly. These rifles are very collectable and getting harder to find, don’t miss the chance to add this beautiful shooter to your collection.
