This is an early 16 gauge Nitro Special, made in 1923, the second year of production for these fine hunting guns...The 28" barrels are choked ic and full. 2 3/4" chambers with excellent bores... 14" length of pull over replacement butt plate..Built on a scaled down frame and weighs just 6 3/4 pounds...Serial #147xxx...Except for the butt plate, this fine gun appears to be in all original condition, with the case colors pretty much faded away...Overall fine shooting and collecting condition...Many consider the 16 gauge Nitro Special to be the ideal upland hunting gun...
