Description:
Grandpa's hunting rifle, gone thru and refinished many years ago prior to being retired. 24" factory barrel with a clean mirror bore. Overall length a little under 44", 8 lbs 4 as you see it with a 14 1/4" LOP. Inserts, fore end tip and pistol grip cap are plastic. Hand checkered stock with no cracks, looks like it was cleaned up and nicely refinished a while ago. Checkering is in excellent condition, and does not appear to have been chased. Pachmayr Presentation buttpad is still soft and pliable. Nice single stage trigger, prob about 4 lbs. I see no markings on the optic, it is likely 4x, clear with a simple crosshair reticle. Acording to the owner, this gun killed plenty of elk here in CO 50 years ago, as pictures he showed us confirmed. The gun itself, pretty hard to miss in the pics! Made in 1950 according to the serial number. Old school hunter in excellent condition, good to go for more! $65 shipping to the lower 48, 3% surcharge for using a CC.
