Description:
Savage model 1899 Take Down chamber in .250-3000. The iconic model 1899 lever action rifle with brass ammo counter made in 1918 or 1919 according to the Savage .
The barrel blue is 95% the frame finish 90-95% rust blue and fading. The trigger guard shows significant case colors. I believe that a coat of varnish was applied at some time. The checkering is sharp, there is no damage or repairs to the stock or forearm but there is a 100 years of use that shows in the wood.
Marbles tang sight and a steel tube 1” fixed power, vintage, scope with fine reticle, probably a 4x on Weaver rings.
Very nice classic .250-3000 take-down.
