Rarely seen for sale with most surviving examples in poor condition this is the best all original example we have seen or know of with exceptionally crisp metal and particularly fine and complete inspection markings. 17” o/a with 10” smoothbore .70 cal. barrel with Tula proofs at the breech. Lock stamped “Tula” and dated 1813. Stock with brass mounts and thumb plate engraved with Alexander the First Royal Cypher. Regimental rack number “1131” stamped on wrist below plate. Trigger guard with Tula Royal Ordnance stamps on both the finial and tang. Working order and excellent bore. Dates to the beginning or Napoleon’s retreat. SOLD Antique: Yes |
