Got a U.S. Springfield Armory 1896 30.40 Krag Carbine Spanish American War time frame with a Troop (Cannot make out the letter) 5th Cavalry Stamp (See the picture 4). This serial number is during the Spanish American War. We tried to get pictures of every logo, proof mark and whatever we could find. There are cartouche's, circle P (Picture 6) and a date stamp of 1897 (Picture 5) on the stamp on the left side. We tried to get a picture of every thing. If you need more. Email.

Listed as USED as this came from the estate of an FFL/SOT Gun Smith, Gun Store that is out of business. This is or was inventory. There is no other history on this piece.
