This is a rare opportunity to purchase one of the finest timepieces ever produced in America! This Hamilton Model 22 comes complete with BOTH of its original wood cases in better than excellent condition, the movement is nearly flawless, the case has no scratches or wear of any kind, the crystal is scratch and wear free, the dial and hands are perfect, and the case is marked 'H.S. 2' for the British Hydrogaphical Service and the number '2' which denotes this watch as chronometer grade, meaning that it is suitable for use as a primary navigation aid for longitude. This watch is complete as originally issued given that the serial number on the case and movement are a match. This timepiece runs and keeps excellent time. The US Navy examples were not marked with the serial number of the movement on the case and most examples are not original movement/case pairs; this one is, and it is in such fine condition that it will require a complete NOS example to improve upon it! These Model 22's with Admiralty markings are hard to find in any condition! Don't let this one slip by.
