Description:
WINCHESTER Model 70 XTR Featherweight, 300 Win mag caliber "Sporter Magnum", made 1991 [ first year of production] . This model was made for 2 years only, according to the Blue Book. 24" barrel, includes Leopold 3x9 variable power scope, [1" scope diameter] scope caps, and sling, as shown. The rifle and scope are in mint condition, as is the bore. Made in New Haven CT, and so stamped on the barrel. Bolt and receiver serial numbers are identical. USRA is on the factory recoil pad. Weight of rifle and scope is 8 pounds, 11 ounces, by actual measurement.
This rifle is ready for the hunt ! I fired 20 rounds through this gun, and shot a 1", 3 round group at 200 yards from the bench, using full power loads.
