We offer you a “Custom Shop” C. Sharps New Model 1875 Long Range Sporting – Target Rifle chambered in .45-90 Caliber.
Serial number 0-1100 is a 20 “plus” year old custom shop rifle from C. Sharps. It features a 34” No. 1 tapered part octagon barrel that has a mint bore with no issues. The finish is in excellent condition with some minor marks in the finish. The case colored receiver, lever, grip cap and screw are all in excellent condition as you can see. It wears presentation stocks that have beautiful figure in them. The butt stock features a pistol grip, shadow line cheek rest and has a few light marks and dings from use with a checkered steel butt plate. The forearm is in excellent condition with German silver nose cap. Both of the presentation grade stocks were factory hand checkered as you can see. It wears a Tom Axtell spirit level globe front sight with his long range windage adjustable tang sight. The tang sight was stored in a red velvet bag when not in use. I mention this because there is red “fuzz” on the sight that might appear as rust in the pictures. It is not rust! Overall this is an excellent example of their work with features no longer available. **PLEASE NOTE** No inserts were found for the front sight!
