Description:
Soviet M91/30 Mosin Nagant PU Scope Bolt Action Sniper Rifle by Izhevsk. Serial #ZH 00 1891, 7.62x54r, 29” barrel with a bright excellent bore. Appears to be a true veteran.
Genuine arsenal marked sniper, not a reproduction or re-sniper.
Fully arsenaled matching serial numbers matches that on the barrel shank.
Original stock with factory acceptance stamps still visible on the stock.
Excellent shiny bore with sharp rifling.
Desirable import with discreet import mark at the muzzle.
The metal surfaces retain about 98% arsenal blue finish with some light thinning on the receiver, scattered light handling marks, and added dark arsenal added sniper coloring fore stock finish and on the barrel bands.
The hardwood stock is in very good plus condition as lightly arsenal refinished with a flaking added finish on the forend and a few light handling marks. The stock is marked with a faint circular cartouche on the right side and multiple scattered small inspection marks.
The original serial number with later added Cyrillic translation stamped. “1943r” date, and Izhevsk symbol remain clear on the barrel chamber, a partial refurb mark is stamped below the date, and the remaining small proofs are largely faded; the left side of the receiver is crisply stamped with the importer added serial number, and the right rside of the barrel near the front sight is import marked.
The bolt and buttplate are serialized and matching to the rifle, and the magazine floorplate is line-out renumbered to the rifle.
The rifle retains the original 2000 meter open sights and is also sighted with a 1942-dated PU scope in very good plus condition with a few light handling marks and grease and adhesive residue, and features clear glass and a German-style reticle. The scope is serialized “74934” and the elevation turret is marked “CB”, denoting calibration for use on the M91/30 rifle. The scope mount is in very good plus condition and is electro-pencil numbered with both the rifle and scope serial numbers. Leather lens covers for the scope still intact and functional.
The rifle functions well mechanically.
