Description:
The Springfield Trapdoor rifles and carbines were standard US Military issues from 1873 through the end of the 19th Century when they were replaced by bolt action rifles. This Model 1884 Rifle has been converted to more of a carbine configuration. The rifle barrel and stock were cut to there current lengths. The original Buffington sight is intact as is the ramrod whole in the stock. This rifle is stamped for the 13th New York Volunteer Infantry. Manufactured 1891. .45-70 Government
