Description:
***SOLD*** Winchester Model 1894 lever action rifle chambered in .32-40, dated to 1901. The rifle features the iconic and timeless Browning 1894 lever action design, and has the distinction of the being the worlds most popular sporting rifle to date. This particular rifle is in a classic configuration, with a rifle length 26" octagonal barrel, full length magazine tube, and beautiful walnut furniture with elegant figuring. The rifle is in great working order with a smooth action and fully operable trigger and hammer assemblies, as well as a surprisingly nice bore for it's age, with only very shallow areas of minor pitting, with a shiny surface and good rifling. Much of the original blue finish is still present on the barre and magazine tube, with some areas of finish wear and patina in other areas, as shown. The wood is in great shape, with some finish craquelure that can be seen on the furniture. A small hole can be seen on the underside of the stock as well. Please refer to the photos prior to purchase. This is a wonderful example of an early 1894 Winchester, in a desirable caliber and nice condition! Don't miss out! C&R OK.
