Description:
Manufactured in 1864 during the American Civil War. Standard 7-1/2" round .36 caliber barrel marked with 1-line New York address, German silver front sight blad, 6-shot percussion cylinder with naval enagement scene, brass grip straps with round trigger guard, and 1-piece smooth walnet grips. Condition: good. Blued and case hardened componentsexhibit an overall mellow gray patina with usage marks. Cylinder scene visible, albeit light. Brass starting to mellow and patina in areas. Grips lightly sanded with small repair to right toe. Shootable bore with minor pitting. Tight mechanics. Matching serial numbers on barrel, frame, trigger guard, and back strap.
