Description:
SOLD! Very nice example of a Ruger No. 1 With Very tasteful scroll engraving that is also very well executed. Not overly embellished.  I do not know who did the engraving, but it  does appear the engraver would have done so with the receiver still" in the white" . Engraving is on both sides and on both sides of the action lever. Also with BEAUTIFUL  wood with good figure on both sides. 7x57 with all factory components, including the 22" factory barrel, save for the White plastic Bead front sight. (which may be a later factory item). Built in 1977, it has the relatively short lived Ruger marked stippled Red Recoil Pad. Shows almost no wear save for the front sling swivel base, and slight paint loss on edge of trigger (yes, these triggers were painted, not anodized, by Ruger!) Very elegant rifle in a very elegant (if there is such a thing!) caliber. I am always looking for early Ruger No. 1's with 26" barrels and Alexander Henry Forends. Thanks for your interest.
