Description:
SOLD PENDING FUNDS RECEIPT. Marlin 336 in .30-30 Winchester with Gold Trigger, 20" Micro-Groove Barrel, NO crossbolt safety, in 98% condition or so. Serial number is 25069xxx. So apparently made in 1975. Very nice example. JM proof mark on barrel near receiver. Shows a few light handling marks on wood and metal, but very very few blemishes of any kind. (A few small very minor nicks in the bluing on barrel below the rear sight dovetail on on the right side. No doubt by someone drifting the rear sight improperly. These tiny marks are NOT shiny as if the bluing was scratched completely off or through. If I didn't mention these, you might not even see them, but I wanted to make sure they were mentioned. (See photo 6)) Does not look as if a scope has ever been mounted. Not perfect, but very very clean. Correct sights with hood. Perfect Bore of course. These were my favorite of the 336's with great quality, NO extra safety, and the best sights (in my opinion:)). A Winchester Model 94 actually shoots quite accurately, and so do these Marlins. But I do prefer the tighter lock-up on the Marlins, and the fact that you can easily mount a small scope or dot sight on these if you so choose. Thanks for you interest. Please see my other ads.
