Description:
1988 production Smith & Wesson Model 29-4 chambered in .44 Magnum. This Model 29-4 is in excellent condition both physically and mechanically. This Model 29-4 features an 8 3/8" ported barrel, bright blue finish, checkered walnut grips, target hammer, and Leupold M8-2X scope. The bright blue finish is excellent condition with very light muzzle wear and various light handling marks. The bore in the 8 3/8 inch barrel is excellent, with sharp rifling and no visible imperfections. The six chambers of the fluted cylinder are equally as clean and free from any damage. The target hammer and serrated trigger still retain almost all of their original case-colored finish. All of the factory markings are clean and visible, and both the face of the cylinder and the rear star are in excellent shape. The original factory grips on this Smith & Wesson are in fantastic condition and show no signs of cracking and very minimum wear.The checkering is still clean and sharp on both sides of the factory grips. These original grips are nicely fit to the grip frame. The action on this particular Model 29-4 is crisp, perfectly timed, and has a positive lock up. Althought the porting is has been done extremely well, it does not appear to be factory. The rear sight has been removed and a Leupold M8-2X scope mounted in a Leupold base has been installed. Sorry, no box or paperwork included.
