Description:
We have an old one with the original aluminum buttplate and factory sights. The barrel is marked 742 carbine. These guns generally shot better than the rifles because of the heavier barrel contour, the factory guns were marked as a carbine because they were not just shortened rifle barrels. The bluing is original and not a refinish, the wood, I'm not so sure, but it looks old. I ran a clip full of shells thru it today and it ran perfectly, piling the empties in a hat sized area. Cases look entirely normal and it shot well with the factory open sights. Magazine is not original as extra calibers are shown. 11/28/22 Note: More careful examination of the bore reveals some roughness or light pitting in the last couple of inches at the muzzle, the rest appears bright and shiny, therefore the price reduced to $795 from $995. Need a FFL and certified funds- sorry- no credit cards. Insured shipping is $30 to lower 48 FFL.
