This brass barrel and action flintlock muff pistol was made in the early 19th century in Belgium. The overall length is 6.5"". The 2.75"" octagon 45 caliber barrel has a good smooth bore with light wear. It features a cannon muzzle. The left side of the barrel has the standard oval Belgian ELG proof mark. The right side of the frame has what appears to be JWL in script. The brass is very good with a pleasing age patina. The checkered grips are good with bruising at the bottom and a dent at the upper right edge. The left side plate has a gap at the lower rear. The action operates but is in need of adjustment. This is a very reasonably priced flintlock muff pistol.
