Description:
Original WW2 issue, this was a gun sent to England as part of the lend lease program.  Stamped with several crowns and of course "not English make".  This gun is very lightly stamped as compared to many lend lease 1911s you see on the internet images.  The barrel is HS marked, no English stamps on it.  “Not English make" is stamped on the right side of the frame just above the trigger bow and below the M in M 1911 A1.  There is an English crown stamp at the right rear of the frame below the crossed cannon stamp and on the right rear of the slide behind the serrations.
Really a beautiful gun, all correct, overall excellent condition with some expected high edge and holster wear.  Bore is excellent.  Does not appear to have been fired much at all, as many weren't.  Good Keyes grips, toe of the magazine is stamped with an L.  Gun was built in 1945.  It comes with a Boyt '42 holster and USGI WW2 belt.  Priced to sell!  $45 shipping to the lower 48, 3% surcharge for using a CC. If you choose to pay with a personal check, we will hold the item for up to 10 days to make sure that it clears. Please expedite such pymts as we will hold an item on your word for 5 days.
