Description:
Browning Centennial 1878-1978 .50 Cal.black powder Mountain rifle is number 574 of 1000 manufactured in 1978. It features a fixed blade front sight and adjustable rear sight. Engraved with "Jonathan Browning Mountain Rifle" on the top barrel flat. The lock plate has a raised likeness of Mr. Browning. Single set trigger with iron trigger guard. Fancy walnut stock with pewter forearm cap, commemorative Browning Centennial plate inset on the right side of the butt stock, and iron crescent butt plate and wood cleaning/ramrod with brass tips. Complete with commemorative powder horn numbered to the gun with leather strap and marked "Jonathan Browning / MOUNTAIN RIFLE / 1878 - 1978 / 0574 of 1000". Browning French fitted Alder wood case with a leather "BROWNING" patch affixed to the lid, booklet, nipple wrench, jag, and bullet puller..
