Smooth bolt, very light and accurate, 280 AI perhaps is the best caliber out there, great for long distance shots, low kick.
Look up ELDX ammo in 280 AI, the 162 grain ammo will have 2162 FPS and 1681 FT/LB energy and only 39 inch drop at 500 yards. With a little bit of practice this gun will have enough engergy for elk to 600 yards and perhaps 800 yards for dear, not bad for a low kicking gun. Probably one of the most efficient calibers ever made. You can also shoot regular 280 amo as well if you don't need the performance.
