The stock and Schnabel forearm are checkered walnut with plastic grip cap and corrugated steel butt plate. The 24” barrel and receiver are rich blue with nicest case hardening colors I have seen in the lever, integral front sight base, and Williams receiver sight. This 99EG was manufactured in 1949, and the Model 99EG was discontinued in 1959-60. It is the last Schnabel forearm produced until 1971, according to Royal’s book (Page 80).
