Presented here is an early 1st Generation Colt Frontier Six Shooter, serial #53181. What makes this piece very interesting, unique and valuable is that the Cody letter (included) states it was one of 50 guns in this shipment that went to Winchester. Originally shipped as a Nickel gun it is obvious that this piece has been re-nickled. It is also fitted with beautiful one piece ivory grips. Truly an exceptional Colt.
