Description:
A 19th century 12ga. fowler with a 34' barrel choked at IM, with an underrib that has one section nearer thee breech re-soldered loing ago but looks okay. The action worked well with a chisel scroll engraved lock-plate and hammer and the makers name: Sherman Bros. Top pf the barrel is stamped LONDON, and engraved designs. The walnut half-stock is solid and complete. Comes with a more recent soild oak ram-rod. Overall a clean fowler from the 19th century and most likely made late 1830's to about 1870.When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
