Description:
Guns are elaborately engraved favoring the work of Helfrich no doubt. Beautiful Mahogany case has brass corners, brass insert on the cover and red lining. Accompanying the guns is an unopened box of Remington 32 caliber rimfire shorts. Complete with a Colt Factory Letter stating the guns were shipped as a pair. 6k serial range and shipped to J.P. Moore Sons in New York. Also states they were shipped with a blued finish and I believe Colt made a mistake in this case in their documentation. The guns retain most all of the original bright nickel with about 75% of the gold gilding on the cylinder, cylinder pin and hammer. The Mother of Pearl grips are in very good condition. These guns were formerly in the collection of Dr. Robert G. Cox. They are truly a great pair of guns!
