Description:

Listing a early Marlin 1893 rifle in 32/40 caliber, has a 26" octagon barrel. Serial number 91441 makes it a first year 1893 Mfg. Bores on the dark side but has rifling. I've shot this rifle more than once. Has I believe the standard Marlin sight of the day, around 3.75" long. With the Rocky Mountain blade front sight. Some call it a Ballard sight or a Rocky Mountain I'm not a expert but several of my old Marlins have this sight, this one's kinda a semi buckhorn. This is a early first year. No smokeless or Black Powder marked barrel, just the Marlin Saftey on top of receiver. It has a tiny screw on upper left side of receiver I guess it held the ejector in place.also lacking a screw on left side about 6:00 o'clock that the later 1893's have. These early 93's were a little different .. No tang markings either. I've several other 1893's that are marked as such. Wood as pictures show appears to never been sanded.the wood fits beautiful. The sling swivels been on this old girl for a long time. Metal and wood finish appears to carry all her 128 year history, no doubt better looking rifles out there but she needs not take a back seat to any of them , fine looking original old rifle. I just went back to the pit and shot six through her , one at a time, ejector is a little weak but comes with age I guess, no three inch group at 70 yards but put them in a pie plate. I'd need a C&R or FFL to ship to. She's an antique but I ship priority and insured through USPS and that's their requirements. Three days no dismantling or shooting and I'd refund if you don't care for her, less shipping, call or text me at 920-590-3400, have a fine day $45.00 shipping
