SCARCE GERMAN BUGELSPANNER 6MM SINGLE SHOT AIR RIFLE CIRCA 1890-1900. 20” octagon smoothbore barrel. Trigger guard cocking lever of type known as a “BUGELSPANNER”. Identical type pictured on page 75 of “GAS, AIR AND SPRING GUNS OF THE WORLD” by W. H.B. Smith. Metal with old dark patina overall. Minor nickel plating on action. Wood with the original worn finish and old minor hairline behind receiver tang. Needs cleaning and mechanism not in functioning order. Needs work mostly cleaning but scarce and worth the effort.
