Description:
Serial #827006, .30 WCF (.30-30), 26" octagon barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some trace freckling within the grooves. The barrel and full length magazine tube of this 1918-made rifle retain 85-90% of the original blue finish, with the balance having some scattered areas of plum-brown freckling, as well as some silvering and fading along the edges of the barrel facets. The receiver retains some of the original blue finish with the balance flaked to a smooth brown, and retains a commensurate amount of blue on the lever and hammer. The walnut straight grip buttstock and forend are very good, with numerous small handling marks and small surface blemishes scattered about the original oil finish, especially on the right rear of the forend. The rifle is fitted with Winchester Sporting front and rear sights. This is a great looking 1894, in fine overall condition, with lots of original finish remaining. FFL or C&R
