Description:
Serial #1590135, 16 Gauge, 2 ¾ inch, 26 inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore choked IC. This is the Remington model “The Sportsman" manufactured in 1948 featuring roll stamped engravings of a flying Mallard in a pond setting on one side and a Pheasant in the grass on the other. The three shot, semi-auto, shotgun is in excellent condition with virtually all, 99% + of the original blue finish on the barrel and receiver. The checkered hardwood buttstock and forearm are likewise excellent with some very minor handling marks and surface-level scratches. The LOP is 14 ¼ inches over a Remington black plastic buttplate. An excellent Sportsman seldom-seen in this condition.
